Beetroot For Cancer Prevention

Beets help protect against cancer, particularly colon cancer, and there is something called “Beet Therapy” which doctors have used to get rid of tumors and to help with blood diseases and leukemia.
A research from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Howard University in Washington identified the extract of beetroot as betanin or betaine, as a potent cancer chemopreventive agent.
In a vivo anti-tumor promoting activity evaluation against the mice skin and lung bioassays revealed a significant tumor inhibitory effect. Their combined findings suggest that beetroot ingestion can be one of the useful means to prevent cancer.
The most interesting observation is that the cancer chemopreventive effect was exhibited at a very low dose used in the study and thus indicating that beetroot warrants more attention for possible human applications of malignancy.
Another team of researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madision has shown that beetroot pigments boost levels of proteins, called phase 2 enzymes that helps detoxify potential cancer-causing substances and purge them from the body.

Breuss Cancer Treatment

Red beet is the main ingredient of the Breuss Vegetable Juice. From the ingredient the beet is 55% or 300 grams.
Mr. Rudolf Breuss had derived his theory that cancer feeds upon and grows due to feeding of protein in the body. His conclusion was then if one fasted of a time frame consisting of forty-two days in duration in which of course the drinking of herbal teas and juices provide detoxification to the system to cleans and purify, the cancer would simply starve its-self to death.
The Breuss diet is designed to starve the cancer cells to death by not providing any solid food proteins. But the diet does not harm normal cells. The most you can have in one day is half of a liter which basically equals just a little over two cups each day.
