Lemon hair spray

Lemon hair spray for shiny and oil-free hair

This lemon based hair spray recipe is very similar to the grease control tip:

There is a simple way to get rid of greasy hair.

Every time you shampoo your hair, mix a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice in.

Shake the bottle well (you could use a smaller bottle for this purpose) and shampoo the hair. Rinse off well.

This way, you will control the oiliness of the scalp and also, if you have blondish hair, you will actually help keep it light longer.

Hair spray for fine hair

Ingredients

1 Lemon
2 Cups of water

Quantity: Makes about 1 to 1 1/2 cups.

Preparation

Chop up lemon in a wooden bowl so that you don't lose any of the juice.

Add the chopped lemon to the water in the top of a double boiler (note: you can use an ordinary sauce pan for this purpose).

Simmer the mixture until the liquid has been reduced by half.

Strain through cheesecloth or fine silk cloth and pour the liquid into a bottle that will fit a pump-type sprayer (a washed and rinsed Windex bottle will do for your spray container).

Add 1/2 cup of water to thin the mixture if necessary.
