I know, if you haven't heard of this awesome idea, you're thinking "Kool Aid"? No way! Well, way! You can truly dye your hair with the Kool Aid hair dye recipe I'm going to give you in a minute.

If you don't want to dye your hair or you don't want to mess with the chemicals and all the damaging effects to you and the world, you may just want to step into the world of Kool Aid.

Using a Kool Aid hair dye recipe you can take your hair to the next level with your own unique and different color. Use straight bright blue or combine shades to come up with something only you will have. The best thing about dying your hair with Kool Aid is that it isn't permanent, so if you end up with a color you don't like, it'll be gone after a couple of shampoos.

Did I mention that coloring hair with Kool aid is cheap and great as an activity for your kids to do though adults find this fun too as a part of girls' night in home spa?

You can change color for any occasion or go natural in between. Add to the fun of using a Kool Aid hair dye recipe on your own hair by doing it with one or more friends. You're going to need help anyway, so why not make an occasion out of it?

Here are some things to consider. When dying your hair with a Kool Aid hair dye recipe the color of your hair will play a part in how it will look in the end. If your hair is blonde or a very light color, it will pick up more of the dye. If you have very dark hair, you color will be much more subtle. This is not always bad! A purple or red hue to your dark hair will make for a very interesting look!

One more thing. If you have long hair you will need to mix up more of the ingredients than if you have short hair. I will give you some guide lines but you may have to play with the quantities and colors to get exactly the look you want.

Here's the Kool Aid Hair Dye recipe and how to use it! Read it through and once you know how to do it, invite your friends over, turn on the music and get started!

Coloring hair with Kool aid - Ingredients:

* Unsweetened Kool Aid - 2 or more packs depending on the length of your hair
* Petroleum Jelly
* Hair Conditioner
* Plastic Wrap

Dyeing hair with Kool aid - Instructions

Step 1: In a small bowl mix 2 or more packs of Kool Aid and a few drops of conditioner to form a paste. Add a little bit of water if needed. Mix until smooth and not lumpy.

Step 2: Spread Vaseline or petroleum jelly around the edge of your hair line and tops of ears. This will help prevent the Kool Aid from staining your skin.

Step 3: Work the Kool Aid mixture into your hair. This is where your friends will come in handy! Avoid rubbing it into your scalp as much as possible. You want it only on your hair.

Step 4: Once all of the Kool Aid mixture has been applied, wrap your head in plastic wrap. Secure it with tape as needed.

Step 5: Leave in place over night if possible. The longer you leave it on the darker the color will be.

Step 6: In the morning, wash your hair, apply cream rinse and then wash again. Dry and style. Voila! You and your friends will be beautiful!

Coloring hair with Kool aid is not the only way you can dye your hair with homemade recipes.
